lomax: Low Costs, Maximum Performance
The Lomax 224 is based on a 2CV undercarriage. The 2CV offers an ideal basis by its simple but effective technique. The Lomax 224 is the original model of The Lomaxmotorcompany ltd, where 224 stands for: 2 cylinder, 2 sitter and 4 wheeler. Since the arise of the Lomax the model has not really changed as regard to design; however, with regard to the technical part, the Lomax 224 has -particularly for the last 2 years - been improved with giant steps. In this manner a serious modification has taken place of the scuttleboard. Technical modifications
These modifications, particularly of the the construction, have been made more simple. In this manner it is now possible to use the original pedalclamp from the 2cv. The transit for the linkcable was made also directly in the body, so a separate support is not needed here. The cap has been adapted, through by it consists of 2 pieces now, so that one simply can place hinges on it, to improve the accessibility of the enginespace. The floor in the body has been placed on a lower level and the side(s) was/were made deeper. Because of this one is sitting deeper in the Lomax and is no longer looking from this/those side(s) in to the chassis. The Lomax 224 is also deliverable with a Continental cap. With this model the whole cap covers the engine and therefore remains the complete engine unaltered. This especially is very handy if one wants to make use of a straight windshield and roof.
