Burton: Nostalgic funcar for daily use
The Burton is based on a chasis of a 2CV (Deux Chevaux). The 2CV offers an ideal base by its simple but effective technique. The Burton is the original model of The Burtoncar Company the Netherlands. For those who have never driven a 2CV, the shock absorbers and roadhandling are a revelation. The weight of the Burton is approximately a third lower and that makes the braking distance, acceleration and roadhandling even better.
Space
The luggage compartment of the Burton is large. By means of a removable partition a luggage space of 610 litres is possible. At the front, within the engine compartment another 100 litres of luggage space is available. This could be used for tools or a small tent for example.
Hardtop
The top and the canopy make the Burton instantly ready for winter. The sturdy wing-doors make it easy to get in smoothly. The doors can be removed quickly so that you can drive "targa". The roof has been tested to withstand both extreme summer heat and cold winter temperatures.

It is possible to own an individual car by customising each part. The body is available in a choice of 100 RAL colours. The mudguards can be replaced by cyclewings; there is a choice between a windshield or aeroscreens, choose from 2CV dashboard or luxuriously bells, also choose 2CV rims or sport rims etc. The interieur can also be custom designed to suit your individual taste and budget.

The weight of the Burton is low, it has a good aerodynamic design and that makes the braking distance, acceleration and roadhandling even better. The standard 2CV engine is in fact sufficient to ensure the performance of the Burton is what you would expect of a sportscar.
